English Ivy Dying or Dead
It's cute and neat when birds make nests until your plants start dying.
I have an english ivy that I've kept in a pot for over ten years now. I repotted it two years ago just for the heck of it. I never water it, never do anything for it. Heck, 75% of the time, I forget it even exists... but there he sits, hanging from a hook, happy as ever.
Some birds (wrens?) decided to make a nest in my english ivy. Everyone's all "Aww, cute!" and I'm thinking, "That's weird. Well, I never water it so the birds should be okay."
( What the heck?? That's it, you featherheads are evicted!!! Get out! Get out!! )
I don't know if it can be salvaged. It's just so abrupt how it died too because it was fine a couple days ago when I went to water plants. I don't know if the birds are still using the pot but they must be if it died so suddenly.
Right now, I'm just leaving it alone in case the birds are still using the nest.
